Description

An image of frankincense and myrrh prepared to be lit to ward off duppies or malevolent spirits from a home that has yet to be moved into.
ID: This is an image of frankincense and myrrh placed inside a plastic lid and set on a lightly patterned green cloth bandana. Inside the lid, two distinct textures are visible: one pale yellow and the other burnt orange. The former, frankincense, has a texture resembling small golden raisins and appears approximately three to four times more abundant. The latter, myrrh, has a rougher, more defined texture with sharper edges and a deeper color, providing a striking contrast to the frankincense. It possesses the appearance of a small translucent pebble, or an unpolished gem. Although the myrrh is mixed with the frankincense, it is present in a smaller proportion, creating the arrangement shown in the image. The light source positioned directly above the scene reflects off the white glossy sheen of the plastic lid, amplifying the contrast between the two substances.
