Description

This is the latest version of the Raspberry Pi, which is also the most expensive one ever, at around $305 for 16 GB as of April 21st, 2026. This single-board computer is small but packed with new features like a power button, dual 4Kp60 ports supporting camera displays, and a custom Real-Time Clock built in. Due to its 4Kp60 ports, it can support retro gaming, especially when this model has the highest performance out of all of them. It is at a high default speed of 2.4 GHz, making it even faster than the Raspberry Pi 4. It can also be helpful for robotics due to its sensors as well as coding since it can support Python coding to do tasks.

ID: Consists of a small green board with a fan on top named Armor Lite V5. There are five bigger ports off to the right side of the fan, with the bottom jack having a bigger opening for an Ethernet cable to attach to, two blue USB 3.0 ports in the middle, and two black USB 2.0 ports at the top of the right side. To the bottom side of the green board there are three smaller ports closer to the left, one of which is wider than the other two and is a 1-lane PCIe 2.0 interface. The other two ports that are closer to the middle are MIPI camera/display transceivers. Near the top behind the fan covered by the ribbon cable is a 40-pin GPIO header. There are ribbon cables which connect to a Sense Hat, both are not part of the original design.

Physical Dimensions: 3.35’’ x 2.2’’ (only the Raspberry Pi 5 itself, not including the Sense Hat)
