The Revere 8 Model 40 camera is a spring-wind video camera. Originally sold for $100, three additional lenses and a cowhide carrying case could have been purchased for an additional cost. The manual for the camera includes a section titled “Movie Tips” that includes suggestions such as “Plan your scenes,” “inject human interest,” and “Introduce variety by changing camera angles”.

The front of the camera includes the lens and a turning knob to unlock the camera. The right side of the camera has a short exposure guide manual for colored subjects. Lastly, a wrist strap is located at the bottom of the camera.
