Description

This is a still image of a finished Ofrenda in the days leading up to the Mexican holiday, Dia De Los Muertos

In this image, it shows an altar which is called an Ofrenda, and it is an important aspect of Dia De Los Muertos. There are 5 different photos where 4 of them are loved ones of the Fernandez-Martinez family and Mancillas family. The photo in the center is of a family dog who passed away 2 years before. On the Altar, it is filled with food such as bananas, 2 Pan de Muertos (Bread of the Dead) mirroring each other, and a variety of dog treats all to represent favorite foods of those on the altar. The altar is decorated with Cempasuchil (Aztec Marigold) flowers in the background, which are accompanied by lit candles on each side. Other decorations include color banners above and, on the altar, a sugar skull, and pumpkins to match the Mexican tradition and fall season.
