This kit was manufactured by a well-known brand, it was used during the outbreak of HIV. It is designed for the precise use of counting blood cells. This kit belonged to Jesse R. Peel, who advocated for HIV testing and used it to determine whether individuals were affected or not. Jesse R. Peel was known for this advocacy towards the queer community. ID: The hemocytometer is inside a case with the brand name “BRIGHT LINE” outside. It is a hard red case and it is to protect the tools to effectively and precisely count cells. Inside the case, it embedded a soft-textured material to prevent the tools on the inside from getting scratched or interfering with any results. Inside the case is found a thermometer-looking tool with a red bead, and around are two tube-like tools, the ends are white. In the middle of the case, you can find a space where glass is found to conduct the test, along with a sleeve where you can place used glass.
